100k in 4 Days
A dispatch from our writing retreat
It’s the morning of day 4 of our Novel Progress Retreat, and the writers have already collectively written 100,000 words!
Every time the writers finish 1,000 words, they initial a square on our shared bulletin board. Their reward for completing their group challenge is cupcakes for all on Friday!
Although, of course, we also rewarded them by challenging them to ANOTHER 100k words for the remainder of the retreat…
If you want to join in on the word count challenge, our last weeklong writing retreat of 2026 takes place October 4-10 in Cape Cod, all meals and housing included.
In the meantime, I’ll see you romance writers (or writers interested in learning more about romance!) for an adorable weekend out and about in Beacon, NY June 4-7! There are still spots left for this weekend retreat, and you’re invited to come for some unique craft sessions, writing time, and hangouts with new writer friends.
